Walter Hutcheson (born 1844? died 23 August 1910) Regular exhibitor at  the  Royal  Scottish Academy from 1869 to 1905 also exhibited at the Glasgow Institute, now the Royal Glasgow Institute of the Fine Arts from 1867 to 1899 also The McLellan Galleries and in Manchester. Most of his subjects are of the west of Scotland and the isle of Arran, family members were often used as models and his treatment of hands and feet is worth closer inspection.
